BBC baru-baru ini telah mengeluarkan senarai 100 wanita paling berpengaruh dan berinspirasi di dunia dan salah satunya adalah Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi Syariah Malaysia.
Hakim Nenney Shuhaidah Binti Shamsuddin (kiri gambar), 42, telah dilantik menjadi hakim Mahkamah Tinggi Syariah pada tahun 2016. Beliau merupakan salah satu daripada 2 orang hakim wanita di Mahkamah Tinggi Syariah Malaysia.
Tersenarai dalam top 100 wanita paling berpengaruh, BBC memberitahu bahawa Hakim Neney telah berjuang untuk melindungi wanita Islam di mahkamah dan ingin mengubah persepsi negatif undang-undang Syariah.
Beliau yang mendapat pendidikan ijazah sarjana dalam Pengajian Islam, diploma dalam Pentadbiran Kehakiman Islam dan Syariah, dan ijazah sarjana dalam psikologi dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, mengakui bahawa sukar untuk wanita sepertinya mendapatkan pekerjaan kerana kebanyakkan syarikat mahukan lelaki.
